Sedona Nexus Poodles
I fell in love with the beauty and intelligence of poodles about 50 years ago when my parents brought home my first poodle Peppi (not a very original name). I knew that these were special dogs even at my young age. He learned everything so fast and was very loyal, two traits that I learned were indicative of the breed. Twenty-eight years ago I got my first experience breeding these wonderful dogs and have been at it ever since, first with miniatures and then with standards. Thanks to lots of poodle people who have guided and mentored me along the way, to bring me where Cheryll and I are today.
Ceilidh and Trixie are an awesome part of our family, and they provide us with not only love, but an ongoing source of entertainment. We have spent lots of time researching the breed and are always continuing to learn more.
Ceilidh has not only been in a UKC show ring, she is a UKC Champion, but the number one thing is they are both an integral part of our family.
Poodle Information
Intelligence, grace, beauty and loyalty, this is what defines the Standard Poodle.
The original of the three Poodle breeds, they were first bred as retrievers. I suppose that people soon realized that they enjoyed the company of their humans, and would do whatever it took to make people smile. Then they became the popular pets that we know today.
Their sense of "joie de vivre" has made them extremely sought after, prized and appreciated members of their families.
They are excellent companions, enjoying the company of young and old alike. They also love the company of other canines, and they don't have to be poodles!
Their non-shedding coat is agreeable to most dog-allergic people.
